The Museo Nacional de Aeronática (National Museum of Aeronautics) is located in Morón, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina in what once was a functioning aeroplane hangar. It holds a patrimony of 18 planes on display and a number of historic memorabilia collected from over 100 years of aviation in our country.
I made these room proposals in order to improve the curatorial narratives, making engaging spaces, reshaping the current architecture and reinforcing the founding values of the Argentinian Air Force.
Pioneers' Room

Current room

Proposal
The concept is to present the first years of aviation through the people that made it possible. This gives the objects on display a visual organization. But most importantly, it allows the audience to connect with and get inspired by those pioneers by getting closer to their dreams, achievements, and personalities.

Malvinas Room

Current room

Proposal
This room intends to pay tribute to those involved in the Conflict of the Islas Malvinas.
The main concept is to create an intimate journey through the history of the Air Force’s participation. A clearly divided mini cinema projects images and testimonials. A timeline hall helps explain the chronological development of the war. Finally, the main room displays the portraits of those who died in their mission.

Timeline Hall
While people come close to the main section, they can witness each day that occurred during the Air Force participation in the Conflict. Newspaper articles and pictures, along with radio reports, narrate the achievements and losses as they were lived.
